Fill out the registration form HERE and mail it in or drop it off to the Clinton Elementary School front office with exact cash or check. CES front office is open Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (summer hours vary - call ahead 608-676-5482 x1017). Stay tuned for updates when online registration opens. Prices increase by $5 on August 27. Begins and ends at Clinton Jr Sr High School - running on sidewalks through the neighborhoods
Join us to raise awareness for literacy, donate books for students, and fund scholarships! Extend Cougar Fest into Saturday and enjoy a full weekend in Clinton!
Event Details:
Packet Pickup: Friday, Sept 13 at Cougar Fest 4:00-6:30 PM and Saturday, Sept 14 at Clinton Jr. Sr. High School 7:30-8:45 AM
1 Mile Run/Walk: Starts at 8:30 AM
5K Run/Walk: Starts at 9:00 AM
Kids Activities 8:30-11:00 AM
Pancake Breakfast (open to anyone) 7:30-11:00 AM
Event Highlights:
- Course: Both routes are stroller-friendly! The run begins and ends at the school, winding through the neighborhood on the sidewalks. The 1 Mile route will feature a fun storybook to read along the way! There’s also a halfway starting point for the 1 Mile Run/Walk for younger participants.
- Timed Event: The 5K is a timed run/walk. The 1 Mile is not timed.
- Kids Activities: Clinton Library, in partnership with Literacy for Life, will facilitate kids activities using Pop-Up Play items. 8:30-11:00 AM
- Pancake Breakfast: Sirens & Iron, Inc. will host a pancake breakfast with pancakes, eggs, applesauce, sausage, and beverages. You do not need to participate in the run to enjoy the breakfast. Everyone is welcome! No charge - donations appreciated. 7:30-11:00 AM
- Awards: The 5K will feature the top 3 overall males and females, and the top 3 age group awards (19 and under, 20-34, 35-49, & 50+) for both males and females.

5K: Plan B will go into effect if there is a funeral the day of the event. This will be determined the week of the event.
1 Mile: You can start at the START line or at the 1/2 mile mark. If you choose to start at the 1/2 mile mark, please meet at the START line at the school by 8:15am and walk together as a group down the sidewalk to Burr St. Participants will then be prompted to start at 8:30am.
Goals:
1. Raise Funds for Clinton Education Foundation to Fund Student Scholarships: Your participation helps support student education.
2. Book Donations: We aim to give each elementary school student a book from the donations collected.
3. Raise Awareness for Literacy: Spread the word and promote the importance of reading!
Cost:
1 Mile: $10 ($15 beginning August 27) - only sign up the person who would like to receive a finisher's medal (friends/family are welcome along the course)
5K: $20 ($25 beginning August 27)
T-shirt (optional) $7/shirt additional
Both races include a finisher's medal
Additional Information:
- Book Drive: Gather your gently used books and bring as many as you'd like to donate!
- Volunteers Needed: It takes many helpers to host a great event! If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to Brooke.
