Principal Message

CES Families,

I hope you all enjoyed the last few days of October. I know the next several weeks are going to get busier but please remember to read with your children at home.

We value open communication and encourage families to reach out to classroom teachers or building administrators whenever you have questions, concerns, or need support. We are here to help!

See you tomorrow!

Warmly,
Mrs. Collins

Paws for Applause!

Our CES staff are amazing, and we want to make sure we take time to recognize them!

The Paws for Applause form is a way to celebrate a staff member who has gone above and beyond, made a difference for students!

Simply fill out the form below to recognize a staff member and share a little about why they deserve some appreciation. Submissions will be shared with the staff member and showcased in our hallways.

Bus Expectations

We have seen an increase in behavioral issues on the bus and would appreciate your help in reviewing bus expectations with your child.
Please remind your child of the following expectations:
  • Cross the road safely and always follow proper safety procedures when getting on or off the bus.
  • Remain seated for the entire ride to help ensure the safety of all students.
  • Phone usage: Any personal use of phones or other devices should not create problems, distract the driver, or interfere with the safety of others. This includes playing music (should not be audible to others) and no picture or video taking on the bus.
Working together helps ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone on the bus. Thank you for your support!

Recess Reminder

Please remind your child that sports balls from home are not allowed to come to school. Students are to use the school provided recess equipment.

November Character Trait- Kindness

For the month of November, our focus will be on Kindness. Students will be learning about and practicing what it means to care, respect, and show compassion toward others through our words and actions.

We invite you to reinforce this trait at home by encouraging your child to:
  • Use kind words and speak respectfully to others.
  • Show appreciation by saying "please," "thank you," and giving compliments.
  • Think about how others might be feeling and practice empathy.
  • Look for small ways to make someone else's day better

Classroom teachers are also wrapping up their bullying lessons in the classroom. Please review the document below that provides information on the language used in the classroom lessons.

Thank you for your continued support in helping our students grow!
