Hello Cougar families,
We had a wonderful first week of school! It is so great to have our students back in the building and to see the energy and excitement they bring each day.
Thank you to our families for working with your students to help ensure they arrive at school on time and ready to learn. Our students have done a great job settling into their routines, and the school spirit throughout the building has been fantastic!
A special thank-you to everyone who participated in our first pop-up assembly this week. It was so much fun to see students and staff smiling, singing, laughing, and enjoying time together. These are the moments that remind us what it means to be Better Together!
A special shout-out to Mr. Spry and Mr. Jaecks for helping pull it all together and making the assembly such a success!

What an amazing first week back at school! The smiles, the energy, the connections between our students and staff, and just the overall fun we had during these first four days made this week a huge success.
Thank you to all of our families for sending your students to school ready to learn, have fun, and build relationships with our staff. We truly appreciate your support and partnership.
There is already so much positive energy throughout our Junior Senior High, and I can’t wait to see where we take it from here. We have an incredible year ahead of us, and I know the very best is yet to come.

For parents who pick up their student(s) at the end of the school day. Please form TWO lines on the edges of the driveway (see diagram). We will utilize the middle section of the driveway for the exit out of the pick up lines. This will also ensure the driveway is more visible for all, and our students get to you safely at the end of the school day. Thank you for your support with this as well!

We are officially into the second week of September, and Cougar Athletics is in full swing! It has been great to see our student-athletes competing, improving, and representing Clinton with pride both on and off the field and court.
As we move through the season, I want to remind everyone that how we support our teams matters. Our student-athletes feed off the energy of our fans, and we encourage everyone to help create a positive, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere at all Cougar events. Cheer loudly, support all of our athletes, respect our opponents and officials, and remember that we are all part of One Team. One Mission. One Cougar Family.

Good afternoon,
We appreciate everyone's support at our Friday Night football games! In preparation for these events, we would like to remind you of our expectations for students and families for our home sporting events.
For Elementary School Students
- Must attend with a parent or guardian
- Children must remain directly supervised by their parent/guardian. This means if the parent is seated in the stands, children are expected to be seated in the stands as well. If parents are standing along the fence or at other locations in the facility, their children must be located within 3 feet.
- Footballs or other objects that have the potential to harm other spectators are not permitted. Please do not bring these items as you will not be allowed to enter with them. In no circumstance will prohibited items be “stored” or “secured” by District staff.
- No re-entry is permitted once you leave the gated area.
Clinton Jr./Sr. High School Students
- Free admission with Student ID.
- Must sit in the Clinton student section or be seated with a parent/guardian.
- Cheer loudly for Clinton and not against the opponent. Positivity and respect are expected.
- No backpacks or similar bags are permitted. In no circumstance will prohibited items be “stored” or “secured” by District staff.
- No re-entry is permitted once you leave the gated area.
Visiting Team High School Students
- Free admission with Student ID.
- Must sit in the visiting team’s student section or be seated with a parent/guardian.
- Cheer loudly for their team and not against Clinton. Positivity and respect are expected.
- No backpacks or similar bags are permitted. In no circumstance will prohibited items be “stored” or “secured” by District staff.
- No re-entry is permitted once you leave the gated area.
Non-Affiliated High School Aged Students
- Must pay admission to enter.
- Attendees must be high school age or older. A valid photo ID must be presented at the gate (driver’s license, passport, or student ID) to verify age. No entry without a valid ID.
- No re-entry is permitted once you leave the gated area.
The purpose of these policies is to be responsive to prior incidents of injury, behavior, and supervision. While our intention is not to deprive students of the opportunity to play or attend, the purpose for attending football games is to be an active spectator. We simply do not have the capacity to supervise children playing in a sufficient manner. Further, jr./sr. high school aged students who do not currently attend Clinton or the opposing team present increased management concerns as school disciplinary matrices don’t apply. As a result, we are often forced to rely on law enforcement as a means of managing student misbehavior.

Membership: Every student at CJSH is welcome to join FFA! FFA members need to complete a new membership form every year and pay $20 dues. Dues should be placed in a labeled envelope and turned into Mrs. Kueter.
September Chapter Meeting: Our September Chapter meeting will be Monday, September 21st at 6:30pm in the ag. classroom! Come to learn about our upcoming events, have fun, and eat delicious Texas Roadhouse rolls!
Line Dancing: To gear up for homecoming, the Clinton FFA is hosting a fun line dancing class on the evening of September 23rd from 6:30pm to 8pm in the ag. shop. All CJSH students grades 7-12 are welcome! We will provide light refreshments.
Tractor Day: Our annual Tractor Day is Thursday, September 24th! All FFA members are welcome to Clinton Kitchen at 6:45am that morning to eat breakfast together! Clinton FFA members that have their driver's license or tractor safety certification can drive a tractor to breakfast then to school and share it with CES and Alden Meadow Park in the afternoon. Sign up & permission slips are in the ag. room!
World Dairy Expo: All FFA members grade 9-12 are invited to attend World Dairy Expo at the Alliant Energy Center for a field trip on Tuesday, September 29th! As long as FFA membership dues are paid, there is no cost to attend. Sign up & permission slips are in the ag. classroom!
Leadership Conference Opportunity: On November 12-13th we will be taking FFA members grade 9-12 to a leadership conference in Green Bay, WI. (There will be an overnight leadership conference opportunity for grades 7-8 in the spring!) Students interested should sign up and grab a permission slip in the ag. room! Learn more here!

If your student is interested in taking the PSAT during Fall 2026, please email Mrs. Kluge at kakluge@clintonwis.com to ensure they are registered for the exam. The PSAT will be administered on a date to be determined between October 1 and October 30, 2026.
Please note that taking the PSAT is optional and is not a graduation requirement. There is an $18 testing fee, which is the responsibility of the student/family and is not covered by the district.
