Clinton Community Scavenger Hunt

During the month of September, complete as many challenges as you can in the Clinton District (Clinton, Shopiere, Turtle, etc.)!

Take a photo of each challenge that shows you completed it and submit the photo for a chance to win. Clinton Community School District will award two $25 gift vouchers (winner’s choice) per week to Clinton, WI businesses during the weeks of September 4-11, September 12-18, September 19-25, and September 26-October 2. A grand prize will be awarded on October 2, 2026. To be eligible for the grand prize drawing, you must complete at least 5 challenges. You are not required to participate in every challenge.

You may submit the Google form or email us multiple times to enter challenges each week, but duplicate photo entries will not be accepted for weekly or grand prize drawings.

Photo Submission: Photos can be uploaded directly to the Google form. If you don't have a Google account or are having issues filling this form out, you may instead email your photo(s) to clintoncommunitysd@gmail.com. In the subject line, include your name and the challenge name (Example: "Jane Smith - Challenge 3"). Please include your answers to all of the questions listed in your email as well.

Anyone is eligible to enter. Participants under 18 must have guardian permission to enter.

Winners will be contacted via email.

  7. Make a purchase at a Clinton business.
  8. Find your favorite outdoor spot in Clinton.
  9. Take a walk somewhere in the community.
  10. Find a historic Clinton landmark.
  11. Find something beautiful in Clinton.
  12. Take a photo with someone who makes Clinton a better place.
  13. Do something kind for someone in the community.
  14. Help make Clinton cleaner.
  15. Attend a community event.
  16. Grab a drink or snack from a local business.
  17. Visit somewhere in Clinton you’ve never been.
  18. Find something with a Cougar logo on it.
  19. Take a family selfie at your favorite Clinton spot.
  20. Try something completely new in Clinton!

  • Clinton Community Historical Society

    • Farmer's Park – on Mill Street just south of Front Street; gazebo, restroom, parking; serves as the gateway to the Pelishek Nature Trail.
    • Pelishek Nature Trail – begins in Clinton, about 6 miles long and 100 feet wide on 64.3 acres, supported by the Pelishek Nature Trail Foundation and built through the work of the Clinton Fencehopper's Snowmobile Club; used for snowmobiling in winter and hiking, biking, horseback riding, and bird watching in summer.
    • Herb Reffue Park – off Church and High Streets next to Clinton's Historic Water Tower; has a pavilion, playground, volleyball net, basketball hoops, and is home to Clinton's skateboard park.
    • Clinton's Historic Water Tower – a local landmark next to Herb Reffue Park.
    • Jefferson Prairie Settlement Historical Marker – erected in 1951 by the Wisconsin Historical Society
    • Tiffany Stone Arch Bridge – a five-arch railroad bridge over Turtle Creek near Tiffany, WI, built in 1869 by the Chicago & North Western Railway. It's the oldest stone arch bridge in Wisconsin and one of the most photographed historic sites in Rock County.
    • Sweet-Allyn Park – site of Shopiere's Fourth of July celebrations for over 160 years.
    • Corporal Lester Butler Shopiere Memorial Clock – dedicated in 1919, marked by a Wisconsin State Historical Marker; originally stood at the intersection of Shopiere Road and County J before being relocated.
    • Turtle Creek – birding, fishing and more. Local lore holds that Abraham Lincoln camped along Turtle Creek in what's now the Town of Turtle in 1832 while scouting for Chief Black Hawk under Captain Jacob Early.
    • Turtle Creek Greenway – miles of trails along the creek through Beloit, used year-round including for cross-country skiing.

     

    After exploring Clinton's parks, trails, and historic sites, take some time to stop by the shops, restaurants, and businesses that make our community what it is. Supporting local means keeping Clinton's small-town character alive for years to come. Grab a bite to eat, browse a local shop, or just say hello to your neighbors along Main Street.
